Danielle Krywko - Owner/Certified Hatha Yoga Instructor (250+ hours), Massage Therapist
I first tried
yoga in 2000 and really enjoyed it. But as it sometimes does, life got
in the way. Just having had my first child, it was often difficult to
find a sitter and spend the money on classes.
I
came back to yoga the fall of 2008. I had just come through several
years of personal upheaval and felt that I needed to find something to
bring me back into the person I had lost. Having always been an athlete
and finding a lot of solace in various activities, I knew that I would
need even more than exercise alone, I needed something to aide me in
finding my spirit. Then I remembered yoga. Even after my first class
"again", I had a very profound emotional response. That continued to
happen each and every time I stepped foot into the studio. Not only was
my spirit coming alive, but so was my body. I was finding and toning
muscles that, in all other sports I have participated in, had never
made an appearance before. Wow! What a feeling! I felt like I had come
home.
While
attending classes, I thought that maybe, "someday", it would be a
wonderful feeling to be able to give in return, what I had found. After
encouragement from various people, in July 2009, I decided to enroll in
a 200 hr. Teacher Training certification program through Yogaworks with Jeanne Heileman and Kim Fische. It
did seem a sort of natural fit, as I had been, in the past, a certified
ski instructor. I also have taught snowboarding, and horseback riding. I completed my yoga teacher certification in December 2009. I have also studied with Menaka Desikachar, Judith Hanson Lasater Ph.D.,P.T., and received my prenatal yoga certification with Siddhi Ellingshoven.
I
look forward to watching you blossom and grow. See you in class!

Kaylen Gleason - Certified Ananda Yoga Instructor (200 hours)
When I first considered yoga, I thought I would be
inadequate. But, because I was determined to find a fix for my back pain, I
continued with an open mind. What I experienced was more than I ever thought I would. Not only did I find pain relief, but I found accepting and
uplifting support through my instructors. I became captivated by the emotional,
mental, and spiritual peace I found through yoga. I was able to apply it to my everyday life to become a less-frantic, more centered, content version of
myself. I quickly realized I wasn’t inadequate and learned that no one is. I
fell in love with yoga and wanted more.
It was so life-changing for me, I felt inspired and
obligated to share with others, so I studied and earned my teaching
certification in November 2009 at The Expanding Light at Ananda in Nevada City,
Ca, where the realization of yoga as a lifestyle was revealed to me. I am an Early Childhood Education Major and have taught
preschool for many years, so my ultimate goal is to unite the world of Child
Development and Yoga and teach classes for children, for whom the benefits of
yoga are invaluable and limitless.
As your yoga instructor I will be supportive, uplifting, and
attentive of your individual needs and goals, while also promoting a sense of
community and fun in each class. It is my hope to share the opportunity yoga
gives us to find inner peace in this hectic world. I am excited to show you how
Yoga can be personal and unique to you. It truly is for everyone regardless of
age, gender, body type, personality, or religion.
I hope to see you in class. Joy is within You!

Jessica Lundberg - Certified Yoga Instructor (200 hours)
After the birth of my second child I felt I needed some stress relief and
exercise that was not in a gym. I had always worked out at gyms in
previous years, but I decided I wanted to take a different path. I went
to a local studio a few times and just did not feel like I was connecting to
the teacher or that she was trying to connect with her students at all.
But going inspired me to buy myself a mat, block, strap and DVDs so I could do
my own home practice, I had been bitten by the yoga bug!
Then life got in the way, a full-time job, a third child, and my yoga props
were collecting dust. The studio had closed and it was some time before a
new one opened and I decided to check it out. This time I completely
connected with the teacher, in fact every teacher I came across there.
They all genuinely wanted to show you correct poses, make sure you were feeling
the benefits and I just knew they cared. As I continued my practice, I
felt the physical and mental changes developing. Even when I thought I
was too tired to go, I went and was so glad I did. I always felt
refreshed and better prepared to deal with the home life of 3 active children
after work. It was all these feelings that I was experiencing that
started the little voice in my head that said I wanted to share yoga with
others, to teach.
The
opportunity to attend a 200-Hour Teacher Training Program with Yogaworks arose and, after
speaking with my family regarding the committed time away from them I would
have to give (3 weekends a month for 4 months), I applied. The training
was a life changing experience for me as I learned the history, philosophies
and teachings of yoga. It is not just about exercise, it is a way of life
and I try to carry that knowledge with me through out the day. My husband
and children have been my biggest supporters in my desire to make a dream come
true and when I finished the training they were all so proud of me. I
still work full-time but I now have started to teach part-time and will have
yoga to fall back on when I retire.
My desire
as an instructor is to introduce yoga to people who are so busy in their lives
working or running around that they do not take time for themselves. I
think everyone should try something at least once and if I can be part of
someone’s first experience with yoga and they love it, I will be
fulfilled. I like to teach "slow and easy", to give students
time to move into and settle into their poses so they can feel the benefits of
it. I encourage the use of props in poses as assistance for proper alignment.
With 3 children at home, I have started to introduce them to yoga and and am
developing a partnered mother and child program I hope to bring to the studio
in the near future.
I truly look forward to meeting you and seeing you on the mat!

Jerry Sinclair - Certified Yoga Instructor 200 hours Carmel Yoga Center
I was introduced to yoga 15 years ago by a friend and have been practicing ever since. At the
time I was unable to exercise due to years of athletic injuries. Yoga has not only healed my
injuries, but added a dimension of calmness and joy to my life. I feel very fortunate to have practiced yoga with various senior Iyengar teachers over the years as well as other teachers and styles.
I taught High School 14 years and managed construction projects for 20 years. Currently I
manage a ranch in Creston.
I enjoy teaching restorative and meditative poses, and emphasize the use of props for proper
alignment and support in poses.

Lauren "Narayani" Neuhs - Certified Yoga Instructor (200 hours), Reiki Master, and Sage Mountain Western Herbalist
"If you are not ready to altar your way of life, you can not be healed"... Hippocrates.
Yoga is the cultivation of what is possible. My yoga practice is a dear friend that has infused power into my body, both physically and on levels most subtle. As I look back over the last eight years, I am continually stunned by the casual relationship between my own practice and the huge role it plays for others. I strive to show my students that they can do things that they never imagined. I am endlessly grateful to the teachers who have shared days, even months, one on one with me. Swami Sita Ramanda, Patricia Walden, Sarah Powers, Sean Corn, Dharen Rhodes, Lisa Jansen, and Scott Blossom. My father, an avid yogi, and scholar, has consistently shared his spiritual experiences and insights with me. The classes I love to teach manifest into a cornucopia of internal insights and natural healing methods.
Let the practice be thy medicine...... Sat Nam.

Lisa Darlene Harcourt - Certified Interdisciplinary Yoga Instructor and Pranassage Practitioner (500 hours) My yoga practice began "off the mat." A close friend invited me to Costa Rica and then changed her mind and went to San Francisco where she got a job. I went to Costa Rica anyway. After two years in Venice Beach, California living and working as a certified makeup artist, I defected to Costa Rica and loved it. I stayed in Costa Rica for three years and while there looked around for a new career. High fashion and special effects makeup no longer felt like an art, instead it was highly artificial. I preferred the natural sights and sounds of Costa Rica.
In Samara, Costa Rica, one day I happened to walk by a yoga institute and picked up a schedule of upcoming classes. Something clicked inside. My yoga experience began. As a kid, I loved gymnastics classes at the local recreation center and enjoyed body symmetry work. As an adult, gymnastics morphed into yoga. Only now, yoga transcended gymnastics and Hollywood makeup to become a deeply meaningful expression of personal authenticity.
A year later I found the Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica. Although I was unsure of how I would actually teach, I knew this place was for me. Bringing my practice to the mat brought balance and made me feel grounded. Yoga is a way I feel and a way I can express myself. Anyone can practice yoga. Listening to oneself and feeling safe to look within can allow change and growth. By bringing body awareness through movement, Yoga practice can facilitate this profound personal change.
Yoga brought me from outer asthetics to inner asthetics. In Costa Rica I began teaching yoga on the beach in the sand where the breeze and the sound of monkeys soothed my practitioners. In my classes on the Central Coast I try to recreate this natural tranquility. Shanti Namaste!

Michael Graef - Certified Yoga Instructor (500 hrs.)
Since the early 80's I have been interested in health and healing. I have studied various forms of body therapy, tai chi, chi gung and esoteric taoism. In 1994 I decided to get my 200hr massage certification. During the course Peter Sterios, a yoga teacher at the first studio in San Luis Obispo came and gave a demo. He offered a week free of yoga classes. Well, I was hooked! I enjoyed the way I would be fully engaged, body mind and spirit. During a class it felt so good to let all my worries and concerns fall away, and just be present with my body, breath and mind. I found myself becoming a serious yoga practioner.
For many years I would take classes 3 to 4 times a week. Weekend workshops with local teachers...intensives with Eric Shiffman...a five day workshop at Esalen with Tias Little. Over time I developed a solid practice at home. 31/2 years ago I moved to a retreat center in Templeton, Dancing Deer Farms. Since I was living at a retreat center I thought " why not go ahead and get my certification? I live at a place where I can offer classes and workshops?"
From the fall of 2009 thru the spring of 2011 I took the 200 hour yoga teacher training, a diploma course in Ayurveda, and a 500 yoga teacher training. My training took place at Mount Madonna Center, in the mountains above Santa Cruz. This is a community centered around the teachings of yoga, and has been ongoing since the early 70's.
I enjoy sharing with others to beauty and power of yoga.
